Something Old, Something Blue

Something old, something blue? No, I am not referring to the age-old advice of things for a bride to wear on her beautiful person down the aisle. I am talking about me - that's how I feel these days, I am something old, something blue (mood-wise that is). But, in reality my chronological age has absolutely NOTHING with the way I feel. I feel great MOST of the time and I intend to continue ON feeling great, but there are those days . . . If you are a female, you know what I mean? Those days when you eat too much and you look down and see it again? Those days when you just need a NEW wardrobe because the old one SHRUNK in the dryer, of course that just HAS to be why those pants won't snap! Those days when you feel like you've been down this railroad one too many times, and forgot to get out of the way of the train. Your caboose is dragging and so is the rest of you. AND YET, there is hope, as long as you are breathing. It is truly NEVER too late, while your heart is still pumping to make some changes. I ask you, WHY NOT? What have you got to lose, except a few pounds, a poor pity-me attitude and an old wardrobe? We woman HAVE to look good to feel good, don't we? Now really, we do! So, get up off your sofa, take a walk. Get out that phonebook and call the beauty salon. Do something to make yourself look better and you will FEEL better. That's the way we women tick, so tick away at all those things you know to do and get it in gear! There is absolutely, positively without-a-doubt NO reason why anyone who is still breathing can't improve themselves. It's more like "won't, don't and lost it somewhere along the way!" Right? NO MORE, get up, get moving and get to looking good. You can do this! Something old will be last year's jeans, and something blue will be that new I-can't-believe I got into these! smaller-sized lookin-good pair you just bought! Go for it!
